Members of the uncommon endangered tapir species have welcomed a new little member at a zoo in Sri Racha district of Chon Buri province. Although some suppose tapirs seem like pigs with small trunks, they are truly related to horses and rhinos. The new tapir baby was born last month in Khao Kheo Open Zoo, although his start was only reported in the information yesterday.
The candy little tapir, a male, was born to his mom Jomklone, and father Wiang, just weeks before the zoo’s forty fourth anniversary. The zoo director mentioned this week that it was a fantastic pleasure to introduce a new tamir in celebration of the anniversary. He stated the infant is robust, healthy, and always hooked up to his mom. It has not been reported but what the baby’s name is.
In the early a part of baby tapirs’ lives, their fur sample is said to seem like watermelons, due to their stripes.
